Sydney has awoken to thick bushfire smog

Sydney has been shrouded in an ultra thick bushfire smog. With visibility down to just 1km or so and hazardous particles in the air.

Sydney weather will bring winds in the afternoon to hopefully clear the smog.

Air quality index is in dangerous territory. People with health conditions are urged to stay indoors.

Air quality across the city plummeted overnight.
