Sydney weather forecast for torrential rain ahead.

Firefighters are hoping a massive downpour of rain will finally resolve the bushfire crisis.

Authorities are warning of heavy downpours and flash flooding across the Sydney as tropical moisture comes to the region.

A months worth of rain could come down on Sydney this Saturday alone.

Thunderstorms and heavy rain will bring a massive level of water to Sydney, after months of pretty dry and hot conditions.

Rain and thunderstorms are expected tomorrow, for the rest of the week and into the weekend.

Rain has come to parts of NSW that have not seen decent rainfalls in months and possibly years.

Cricket games including a charity match for the bushfire appeal, will be moved the Melbourne.

The T20 Big Bash final will also possibly need to move to another venue.
